Job Description
An exciting job offer exists in Voltic (GH) Limited for Treasury and Tax Accountant. Voltic (GH) Limited, has been known for manufacturing of the leading premium water brand in Ghana for over two decades. Currently, Voltic (GH) Limited has expanded its portfolio to cover Value Added Dairies. This role reports directly to the Financial Accounting Manager(FI). The treasury accountant is responsible for the cash flow management, ensuring funds are available to meet the daily business cash outflow requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Manage Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Effect the monthly FI close procedures which initiate the close of the accounting ledger for the period in question.
- Daily cash flow planning.(preparation of all internal and external financial reports related to treasury, cash management).
- Provides advice to the Manager on all areas of cash management and investments .
- Prepare forecasts to project company cash positions in the short run and the near future
- Re-values FX denominated balance sheet accounts as required for the preparation of financial statements
- Reconciliation deviations are identified, reported and solved within one month of deviations being identified
- Reconciliations are completed monthly and submitted timeously to Manager for review.
- Reconciliations for balance sheet accounts are conducted as per finance policies and procedures.
- Critical outstanding items on monthly balance sheet reconciliations are resolved.
Maintain Policies and Procedures
- Administer and support the execution of internal audits.
- Execute drafting and implementation of new policies.
- Maintain and communicate financial policy updates.
- Prepares working papers and schedules in support of month-end and year-end cash management and treasury activities.
- Evaluates and recommends enhancements to cash management and treasury systems. Acts on behalf of financial accountant in his/her absence.
- Internal audits are performed as per annual plan.
- All outstanding internal deviations are resolved.
- 100% check of audited irregularities.
- 100% compliance with GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles)
Maintenance of Reporting and Communication routines
- Report required financial information.
- Key point of communication between finance service institutions such as banks, and the company’s finance department.
- Evaluate cash needs of each business segment and recommend strategies that improve efficiency of company’s cash.
- Maintaining the financial health of the company.
- 100% accurate year-end submission as per company time table
- Ad hoc information was provided as per agreed deadline dates
- Monthly reporting 100% accurate as per templates and time table
- All tax changes to be communicated and implemented.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement: Bachelors degree, CPA((K) /ACCA.
- Added advantage: xxx or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience within a financial department.
- Manufacturing or FMCG environment advantageous.
