Your Mission

As an Operations Manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure operational excellence in Ghana. Leading the team, you will play a crucial role in establishing a top-notch supply structure, taking ownership of operational KPIs across 60 cities. Engaging with and retaining couriers (or glovers), you will coordinate projects spanning these geographic areas while driving our partners towards operational excellence. Your key focus is on securing the long-term sustainability, satisfaction, and daily performance of the fleet.

The Journey

Leading Supply Operations in Ghana

  • Be at the helm of the Supply Operations team in Ghana.

Ownership of Operations P&L

  • Take charge of Operations Profit & Loss, overseeing courier cost, compensation cost, Live Operations, materials, etc.

Strategic Vision and Targets

  • Define medium and long-term strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets.

Operational Excellence Levers

  • Be responsible for operational excellence levers, including courier profitability, incentives management, supply and demand balance, delivery times optimization, courier positioning, and zoning. Implement logistics features to enhance performance.

Team Management and Mentoring

  • Hire, train, and mentor team members to ensure effective performance and growth.

Standardization and Process Improvement

  • Standardize processes across different geographies, building tools for local teams’ autonomy.

Contribution to Glovo’s Growth

  • Commit to contributing to Glovo’s growth and ensuring the team reaches the next level.

Collaboration and Learning

  • Actively collaborate with colleagues, fostering a supportive environment for mutual learning and growth.

Visibility and Reporting

  • Provide analytical reports to stakeholders, giving visibility to project status and following up on the next steps.

Strategic Analysis

  • Evaluate strategic opportunities through a range of quantitative and qualitative analyses.

Operational Efficiency Enhancement

  • Improve operational efficiency for partners to deliver the best service to customers.

Diversity and Inclusion Advocacy

  • Advocate for diversity and inclusion, recognizing that skills can be learned, and embracing diversity is invaluable.

What You Will Bring to the Ride

  • +6 years in a fast-paced environment, preferably in ops/strategy consulting, operations/logistics, or FMCG/retail/top tech firms.
  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrating a track record of success in delivering and implementing new solutions/processes/standardization.
  • Expertise in KPI tracking, creation, and optimization.
  • Problem-solving and data-driven decision-making with a strong analytical approach.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics (a plus).
  • Ability to manage small work teams and lead changes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Empathetic, inclusive, and curious attitude.
  • Proficiency in Excel (mandatory), SQL knowledge (a plus).
  • Excellent English.
