About the AWS re/Start Program

Amazon Web Services (AWS) re/Start is an impactful, full-time skills development program designed to launch careers in cloud computing, offered at no cost.

AWS re/Start, a 12-week initiative, targets unemployed or underemployed individuals, preparing them for entry-level roles in the cloud. In collaboration with AmaliTech, an IT training and service company driving digital skills development in Africa, the program empowers the next generation of tech professionals. AmaliTech, known for delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to international and local businesses, will guide learners throughout the AWS re/Start program.

The joint effort of AWS re/Start and AmaliTech aims to equip individuals with sought-after cloud skills, facilitating career readiness for jobs within their local communities.

Program Details

  • Completion entirely ONLINE in 3 months.
  • Structured in cohorts with flexible start dates.
  • Live, online instructor-led sessions.
  • Requires up to 8 hours of dedicated time each day (Monday – Friday).


An ideal candidate must:

  • Be a tertiary student or graduate.
  • Be unemployed or partially employed.
  • Be available for full-time online training sessions (Monday to Friday).
  • Have access to a computer or laptop with a webcam and microphone.
  • Be passionate about pursuing a career in cloud computing.
